Michael Stoschek and Ing. Paolo Garella | Manifattura Automobili Torino – Observing New Stratos Prototypes

A legacy to preserve and reimagine

It all started when industrialist and collector Michael Stoschek, together with his son Maximilian, contacted Paolo Garella,  then Manager of Special Projects at Pininfarina, with a very specific request: to build a one-off reinterpretation of the legendary 1970s Stratos.
Thus began the New Stratos project — one of the most refined one-off cars ever conceived.

Fast forward to 2018

Paolo Garella, who by then had founded M.A.T., decided to invest in what was already an iconic car. Returning to the Stoschek family, he proposed launching the New Stratos Limited Series. From a one-off to a limited production of 25 cars, a journey that involved every department of the company and put M.A.T. on the fast track to becoming a fully-fledged boutique car manufacturer.

Roaring on the road

With cars delivered from the U.S. to Australia and across Europe, the New Stratos Limited Series is now a reality — and a true feather in M.A.T.’s cap.
With its striking lines and lightweight bodywork, the New Stratos is a car born to be driven: handling, control, and stability on tight and twisty roads are the very essence of this supercar, which doesn’t shy away from dirt or snow.
